CEA Uses Video To Showcase Their Specialty
ByTwitter has been buzzing the last few days with updates from the Consumer Electronics Show out in Las Vegas, Nevada. The world’s largest consumer electronics tradeshow, the International CES “unites more than 100,000 retail buyers, distributors, manufacturers, market analysts, importers, exporters, and press from 140 countries.”
This week, more than 2,500 exhibitors are enticing those masses with 20,000 new products, hoping to be the “Next Big Thing” in your life.
But can your home or office support the “Next Big Thing”? And how do you know?
The Consumer Electronics Association, a trade group uniting 2000 companies with the consumer electronics industry, has been sponsoring the International CES since 1967. Always on the cutting edge of technology, the CEA designed the TechHome Rating System, a powerful new nationally-recognized standard for building residential technology infrastructure. The rating system is used to assess whether or not a building’s infrastructure is or will be able to implement and support the wide range of consumer technologies available, even if those technologies won’t be implemented any time soon. For those who are having their homes or offices rewired to support new technologies, the THRS makes sure the job is done with an eye to the future.
In 2009, New England Multimedia was hired by Caster Communications to shoot and produce a video for CEA showcasing the TechHome Rating System. The video was shot over a span of time during the building of a Green Life Smart Life home in Narragansett, RI, and gave us an incredible opportunity to see why the TechHome Rating System is the national standard. (We wrote about the project in our blog post “Looking Back, Looking Forward.”)
Does your company have an innovative way of doing things, a unique product that people want or need, a new standard you’re setting, or a service that sets you apart from the crowd? Convey your unique selling proposition through a professionally-produced video, and get the word out.
New England Multimedia, Caster Communications, Green Life Smart Life and the Consumer Electronics Association all know the vital importance of using video in today’s competitive marketing environment, where seeing is believing.
