Looking Back, Looking Forward!
ByFor most of us, “Happy New Year!” signals an exciting time of new beginnings, when we resolve to make the changes necessary in our lives that will help us meet our goals, whatever they might be. One of the changes I’m making this year is to get off my butt and start getting in the physical shape needed to enjoy this country’s State and National Parks on foot — rather than from the inside of a car.
The first natural wonder on my list is the Flume Gorge in Franconia Notch State Park in New Hampshire. Scott and I will be hiking up into the gorge, lugging a Sony EX-3 HD camera and tripod, to catch the spring thaw as it roars down Mt. Liberty. We couldn’t do it last year out of fear of having to be airlifted out with chest pains. No, seriously.
This year, we intend to make much broader use of video marketing for our clients and ourselves. According to all the recent studies, video marketing on the web is at the top of marketing priority lists. In 2009, New England Multimedia had the pleasure of shooting, editing, and producing a video for the Consumer Electronics Association, showcasing CEA’s TechHome Rating System for building residential technology infrastructure. The shoot took place during the building of a Green Life Smart Life home in Narragansett, RI.
Consumer Electronics Association is using video to showcase their nationally-recognized TechHome Rating System, and enjoying the increased visibility in their position as an industry leader.
How are you using video to get your message out this year?

The video was shot over a span of time during the building of a Green Life Smart Life home in Narragansett, RI, and gave us an incredible opportunity to see why the TechHome Rating System is the national standard. (We wrote about the project in our blog post “Looking Back, Looking Forward.”) [...]
